The "CONTROL INPUT LOGIC" block receives input pins CE#, OE#, WE#, RESET#, BYTE#, and WP#/ACC. Itcreatesinternaltimingcontrolsignalsaccordingtotheinputpinsandoutputstothe"ADDRESSLATCHAND BUFFER"tolatchtheexternaladdresspinsA0-AM(A23).Theinternaladdressesareoutputfromthisblockto themainarrayanddecoderscomposedof"X-DECODER","Y-DECODER","Y-PASSGATE",AND"FLASHARRAY".TheX-DECODERdecodestheword-linesoftheflasharray,whiletheY-DECODERdecodesthebit-lines oftheflasharray.Thebitlinesareelectricallyconnectedtothe"SENSEAMPLIFIER"and"PGMDATAHV"selectivelythroughtheY-PASSGATES.SENSEAMPLIFIERSareusedtoreadoutthecontentsoftheflashmemory,whilethe"PGMDATAHV"blockisusedtoselectivelydeliverhighpowertobit-linesduringprogramming.The "I/OBUFFER"controlstheinputandoutputontheQ0-Q15/A-1pads.Duringreadoperation,theI/OBUFFER receives data from SENSEAMPLIFIERS and drives the output pads accordingly. It is assigned to each sector individually. The SPB is Preprogramming, and its verification prior to erasure are managedbythedevice,sosystemmonitoringisnotnecessary. 3. Solid Protection Bit Lock Bit The Solid Protection Bit Lock Bit (SPB) is assign to control all SPB status. It is a unique and volatile. When SPB=0 (set), all SPBs are locked and can not be changed. When SPB=1 (cleared), all SPBs are unlock and allowstobechanged. There is no software command sequence requested to unlocks this bit, unless the device is in the password protectionmode.TocleartheSPBlockbit,justtakethedevicethroughahardwareresetorapower-upcycle.In ordertopreventmoified,theSPBLockBitmustbeset(SPB=0)afterallSPBsaresettingthedesiredstatus.
4. Password Protection Method ThesecuritylevelofPasswordProtectionMethodishigherthentheSolidprotectionmode.The64bitpassword isrequestedbeforemodifySPBlockbitstatus.Whendeviceisunderpasswordprotectionmode,theSPBlock bitisset"0",afterapower-upcycleorResetCommand. AcorrectpasswordisrequiredforpasswordUnlockcommand,tounlocktheSPBlockbit.Await2usisnecessary to unlocked the device after valid password is given.After that, the SPB bits are allows to be changed. The PasswordUnlockcommandareissuedslowerthen2severytime,.topreventhackerfromtryingallthe64-bit passwordcombinations. To place the device in password protection mode, a few more steps are required. First, prior to entering the password protection mode, it is necessary to set a 64-bit password to verify it. Password verification is only allowedduringthepasswordprogrammingoperation.Second,thepasswordprotectionmodeisthenactivated by programming the password the Password Protection Mode Lock Bit to"0". This operation is not reversible. Oncethebitisprogrammed,itcannotbeerased,andthedeviceremainspermanentlyinpasswordprotection mode, and the 64-bit password can neither be retrieved nor reprogrammed. Moreover, all commands to the addresswherethepasswordisstoredaredisabled. Thepasswordisall"1"swhenshippedfromthefactory,itisonlycapabletoprogramming"0"sunderpassword program command.All 64-bit password combinations are valid as a password. No special address is required for programming the password. In order to prevent access, the Password Mode Locking Bit must be set after the Password is programmed and verified. Once the Password Mode Lock Bit is set, prevents reading 64-bits passwordonthedatabusandanyfuturemodification.Thereisnomeanstoverifywhatthepasswordisafterit isset. Entrycommandsequencewillcausethereadandwriteoperationtobedisabledfornormalsectoruntilthismode exits.Oncesectorunderprotectedstatus,devicewillignorestheprogram/erasecommand,enablestatuspolling andreturnstoreadmodewithoutcontentschange.TheDPB,SPB,USPBandSPBlockbitstatusofeachsector canbeverifiedbyissuestatusreadcommands.
